The right to health is a fundamental human right for all people everywhere. This right has been recognized by various documents throughout international law, and is known intrinsically to us all through our personal, moral code. CJPME believes that, first and foremost, the international community must comprehend the health implications of the issues in the Middle East for the civilians on the ground. We have a team of health care professionals and interested Canadians who have formed the Right to Health Taskforce to bring light to this often overlooked yet unavoidable consequence of conflict. We hope to do so by creating resources regarding the health situation, bringing in health professionals as speakers who have travelled to the Middle East and creating discussion about these issues in the public.
CJPME welcomes all individuals and expertise in its health initiatives, however, we are especially interested in hearing the voices of health care professionals and allowing them to provide their professional analysis in this field. If you would like to get involved in CJPME's Right to Health Taskforce, please contact us, either via email info@cjpme.org, or at (514) 745-8491.
